Why I photograph Families
Elizabeth and Mom
My mom turned 80 and we all went to see her. After dinner we pulled out the pictures. This picture is something I found among the others. It shows that joy I felt as a child and the love my mom had for me.
Decades go by and you forget the feeling of being a child. You forget the bond. You forget the closeness. But then you find that one picture and it is deeply touching.
This is why I do what I do. I do it so families are reminded decades, even generations later that they were loved and that they’re part of something greater.
These prints are the objects that are the center of attention at family gatherings and spark a hundred stories and mysteries. These are the objects that people clutch onto if they have to flee their homes.
People generations later are fixated on these pictures. Who is that? How am I related to those people? I love them, because they are my ancestors.

Things to know
Photo sessions take about an hour, give or take. I take pictures until I feel I’m done, or until your kids start going boneless.
It takes from 2 days to 2 weeks to get your pictures back.
I deliver between 25-50 pictures.
I will make additional edits to your favorites.
You will love and treasure them, and when your kids grow up, they will too.
